'Let There be Light'.

Be enlightened whilst I change the mood. The drab space you recognise will be flooded with brightness, dark to light.

Sadness to happiness.

Blue to orange.

The Blue Room: asylum, concert hall, coffee shop and now theatre. One room with many faces now plays host to a manifold of acts. From freshly baked welcomes to the thinking of the ivories, a collection of crisp packets to a strange lady and her newspaper, 'Postman Time' invites you to free your mind and experience an evening of dazzling cabaret and sheer bedlam. Join us for one hour that transforms your preconceptions into bewildered amusement and questions how, what and most importantly, why? As spaces collide, a cavalcade of 'acts' invades The Blue Room. - Dale Wells.

Postman Time was a collaboration between the University of Lincoln's MA Fine Art and MA Drama students.

My contribution displayed these window pieces made by painting with oil paint on Polythene. During the performance, two actors walked over to the window and opened the curtains to reveal the piece, whilst the spot lighting aimed towards that area of the room which then changed to 'orange' to match the paintings. This gave the impression of a sunset beaming through the room; transforming the dark, blue room to a bright orange.

Second year BA Degree show - Riverlights, Derby.

This was my second year exhibition piece; displayed for two weeks at Riverlight Derby.

The piece was painted with oil paint onto a hand-made canvas. The piece was 2.5 meters long and has now been painted over as a new piece for the Royal Derby Hospital.

Final Degree show at the University of Derby
