Painting creates a space to escape to, and the atmosphere in which the painting is inhabited can change how you see the piece and feel towards the piece. Therefore, the location of the artwork can determine its meaning.

 

Colour can change the atmosphere in a space by sparking memories. I paint with colour, and that colour can describe how I feel.

 

Experimenting with texture, colour and location allows my work to be more universal. A different location, texture and colour can create a different meaning.

 

But your mind and imagination is what makes the art work. My paintings are a tool that allows you to have a moment with your own thoughts, they create A SANCTUARY.
